Work Experience
Work Experience enables young learners at school or college the opportunity to spend short periods of time in a place of work where they can gain first hand experience of the world of work. Students undertake task or duties similar to employees but unpaid.
The key aim is help young people to understand what is expected of them at work, help them to mature and enable them to present themselves more effectively and prepare them for the world of work. Work Experience also provides the perfect platform for businesses to train their managers too.
Work experience offers many benefits and opportunities to everyone involved in the scheme. Please refer to the work experience booklet which details the benefits of work experience to employers and students.
