St Anthony’s gain funding for their project with ‘Chichester Gate’

Recently St Anthony’s Special School in Chichester was awarded £350.00 for their ‘Chichester Gate’ project. This project formed part of their work related learning programme at the school.

The school linked this project with their Youth Award Scheme, PSVCE, Work related Learning, Geography and English.

The aims of their project was to look at the businesses that make up Chichester Gate Leisure Complex, how they work together and the different types of facilities each company has to offer the local community.

Students had the opportunity to meet with staff from Cineworld and Lakeside Superbowl for an informal discussion and tour of the building enabling the students to ask questions and to learn more about the leisure industry.

The school produced excellent worksheets to be used during the visit and enabled the students to produce a site plan of the area.

The EBP was delighted to be able to support such an excellent project which has without doubt enhanced the student’s current knowledge of the world of work.
