The Education Business Award is an excellent opportunity for schools within the Chichester EBP District. The aim of the Education Business Awards is to offer schools in the Chichester EBP District, an opportunity to apply for a grant to be used on a project or event that links the school with a local business or businesses. The Education Business Partnership is an organisation that links schools and businesses together on projects that enhance and enrich the curriculum. Our aim is to help prepare our students of today for the working world.
All schools in the Chichester District will be sent information on the Awards scheme during September 2007.
This year the scheme is being co-sponsored by Chichester Round Table, Chichester District Council and Chichester EBP
CRITERIAEach school that wishes to apply for a grant must complete the form enclosed and attach a proposal on how the fund will be used, highlighting areas of the curriculum that will be linked with, proposed student numbers and year groups. Schools can apply for any sum between £50-£500
Each project or event must involve a business within the Chichester District, this can be either new to the school or an existing link
Education Business Award monies cannot be used for capital items
Successful schools will be required to provide a brief written report on completion of the project or event, giving details of the links made with business, learning outcomes and actual numbers of teachers and pupils involved
Each project or event is expected to have a direct impact on teaching and/or learning.
A panel of EBP board members will consider the applications from each school, against the agreed criteria and allocate funds accordingly. Their decisions will be final. All schools will be informed of the outcomes early in the Spring Term 2008
